BIOGRAPHY

Terrell McCoy, Jr., MA, leads the Newark Housing Authority Scholarship Foundation with a vision and passion to create educational opportunities for scholars within the Newark Housing Authority. Inspired by his family of educators, including his mother and grandmother, Terrell understands the profound impact education can have on individuals and communities.  He is a proud HBCU graduate of Oakwood University and also holds a Master of Arts from Full Sail University. He is dedicated to providing students with the resources they need to succeed.

Professionally, he brings knowledge with his experience from international media giants such as ESPN, TV One, and the Smithsonian Channel, alongside his work with nonprofits and government sectors. Currently, he proudly serves as the Director of Communications for the Newark Housing Authority. Beyond his professional achievements, Terrell is actively involved in volunteerism and civic engagement. As an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., he takes on various leadership roles in local organizations, contributing to the community and mentoring youth in any capacity he can.
